DO SOMETHING IN YOUR TOWN

 DSC_9718.jpg

Dear Friends:

Our time has come to stop all the killing and torture being done in our names as Americans. Our time has come to stand with Cindy Sheehan and what she has started.  We must be visual and speak out for change. No one is going to do it for us. We must all do it for ourselves.

Last Tuesday I got permission to hold a vigil from St. Maurice Catholic Church at 5 pm. I listed it on MoveOn website. Within 24 hours I had 70 people respond. I had over 70 people show up on Wednesday.  It was an energy I haven't felt in a long time. It was an energy of hope. One by one we stood up and spoke at the vigil. We all want the same. We all want to end the killing. We are all tired what is being done to us. We were all there to take back our country. WE THE PEOPLE came together and we will stay together.

Thursday I took my Support Cindy signs, letters to home from the fallen, memorial of the names of the fallen, guest book to Cindy Sheehan from South Florida, down to the beach on Hollywood. I sat there for 8 hours. People walked by and smiled. A lot of people came and sat with me. Some for hours at a time. The ones that came to talk with me all spoke the same words I had just heard the night before at the church. Friday I spent 3 hours in the morning before I had to leave to pick up my kids from school. I returned Friday evening with my family spending another 5 hours at my Camp Casey on the beach. Yesterday, Saturday I joined other pro-peace activists in downtown Ft. Lauderdale where I got others to sign the guest book in support of Cindy Sheehan. Last night I went back down to the beach with all my implements of peace to end this war and sat at my camp Casey for another 4 hours. This morning my son woke up with a fever. I'm not sure if I will make it to the beach today. I will give as much time as my family allows to support my friend Cindy Sheehan in bringing awareness that we must end all the killing. We must bring our troops home now. Send the money over to Iraq. Put their people to work building their own country back to where it was before we destroyed it, BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW!

Now my reason for writing all of you. Cindy Sheehan is one person. She is making a difference. I am only one person sitting at the beach everyday. I am making a difference in my own community. We can all make a difference. People want change. Trust me, no one -NO ONE - has come up to me and had a bad thing to say. We all are different, but we all want the same when it comes to this so called war. We want to end it and we can end it if we all get visual and let the government know "WE THE PEOPLE" will not stand for what they are doing to the youth of this country by killing them for money.

I realize not everyone can join me at my Camp Casey on Hollywood Beach. But you can make up a sign and get yourself on a corner, park, or any place close to your home. Be visual. Talk to people. Spread the word of peace. There is strength in numbers. We all need to be out there on every corner in every city protesting all the killing. You can do your part in your neighborhood, we can save lives. We can bring our kids home and save the lives of the ones that are joining. Get out in your own neighborhood! DO SOMETHING! One person can make the difference!

Enjoy your moments. Moments Cindy and Casey no long have together.

Peace be inside all of us,

Cindy Fetzer MomFromHlwdFL@aol.com

Daily Vigil on Hollywood Beach at Garfield Street (next to the playground). If I'm not there. Put out your sign and talk to people. I'll be there sooner or later.
